GÖKÇE İRTEN
Gökçe İrten is an Istanbul-based multidisciplinary artist and author whose practice centers on individuality and the relationship between the self and its surrounding environment. Working across visual art and publishing, she explores layered forms of perception shaped by the interplay between inner experience, urban space, and visual narrative. Her works unfold through colorful, fragmented structures that reflect contemporary subjectivity.
İrten holds a BA in Ceramics and Glass Design from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and an MA in Visual Arts and Communication Design from Sabancı University. She furthered her studies in art and design at the University of the Arts London.
Her recent solo exhibitions include Self Layers, Mixer Arts Gallery, Istanbul (2022) and Neighborhood, Mixer Arts Gallery, Istanbul (2017). Her recent group exhibitions include At The Threshold of the Time, Inspera Bodrum (2025); As Thin As A Promise, Gallery Nev, Istanbul (2025); and Printed ’23, Mixer Arts Gallery, Istanbul (2023). Collections include the OMM Collection and the Ekrem İmamoğlu Collection. Alongside her artistic practice, İrten has collaborated with institutions including Apple, Lego, and Unilever, and has written and illustrated books translated into multiple languages.
