Eren Göktürk (b. 1985, Ankara) graduated from the Department of Photography at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2013, and continued his graduate study at the same department. He lives and works in Istanbul.

Göktürk’s work primarily focuses on fictional scenes derived and inspired from daily life, and he recomposes them by use of details, light, color and other technical elements. The artist emphasizes the representative and narrative potential of detail through his large-scale and pictorial works. 

In addition to the emphasis on details; consumption culture, and changing urban and social life as main themes play a significant role in his practice. Alluding to art history, philosophy, cinema and literature, he relates the contemporary to the past in his timeless and strangely familiar scenes.
